Job summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our friendly team as a Nursery Cleaner at our Abacus Nursery. This important role will help us maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential for a safe environment for children, staff, and families.
6-9 hours across3 evenings a week

- Maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety by following cleaning schedules and procedures
- Safely store and use cleaning materials and equipment according to guidelines
- Report any maintenance, health, or safety issues promptly
- Work respectfully alongside nursery staff and children, ensuring minimal disruption to the learning environment
- Support with occasional deep cleans and additional cleaning requests as needed
- Previous cleaning experience in a nursery, school, healthcare, or similar environment (preferred but not essential)
- Awareness of hygiene, infection control, and safe use of cleaning products
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to use initiative
- Flexible approach to work and ability to work well as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting a safe environment for children
