Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities is preferred.
  • Understanding of Individual Education Plans.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with parents and staff.

About the Position

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Chelmsford, part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for a SENCO Coordinator who is responsible for supporting, assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as a liaison between parents and staff for children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Advising and supporting other Nursery Practitioners regarding children with special educational needs or disabilities
  • Ensuring that appropriate Individual Education Plans are in place
  • Ensuring that relevant background information about children with special educational needs or disabilities is collected, recorded, and updated
  • Keeping up to date with initiatives and best practice
