Job summary
A contemporary art gallery in Wales is seeking a part-time Participation Assistant to support its creative learning programs. The ideal candidate will ensure workshops and classes run smoothly and foster an inclusive environment. This role involves engaging with schools, community groups, and the public, contributing to the gallery's mission to connect communities with art. Salary ranges from £23,000 to £25,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

Oriel Myrddin is looking for a new Participation Assistant to support our creative learning programme.
This role helps make sure our workshops, classes, and courses run smoothly, and that the gallery is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for everyone. Reporting to the Engagement Manager, the Participation Assistant will help deliver activities for schools, community groups, and the wider public, supporting our efforts to engage people through art.
This is an exciting time to join Oriel Myrddin. We’re building a new team focused on connecting communities across Carmarthenshire and beyond with outstanding contemporary visual art, craft, and design.
We’re also proud to be a partner venue for CELF, the national contemporary art gallery for Wales, giving people access to national collections from Amgueddfa Cymru and the National Library of Wales.
This is a part-time, permanent contract Hours: 15 hours per week (averaged across a year).
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 pro rata and depending on experience.
