Job title: Senior React Native Engineer

Contract type: Full-time, contract

Location: Remote first with the ability to travel to Edinburgh for key sessions

Contract length: 3 months (January 5th start)

We're putting together a new squad to deliver the rebuild of a long-standing B2B mobile product used by enterprise customers worldwide. The project is fully approved, well-defined and ready to start.

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer with deep expertise in React Native to lead the development of cutting‑edge mobile applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about building high‑performance, scalable, and user‑friendly apps.

• Contribute to the architecture and development of cross‑platform mobile apps using React Native
• Work closely with product managers, designers and engineers to translate product requirements into high‑quality mobile features
• Maintain strong code quality through solid implementation, constructive code review and attention to performance and scalability
• Apply and follow best practices in mobile development, including testing, CI/CD workflows and version control conventions
• Build reliable integrations with backend APIs and third‑party SDKs
• Track and optimise application performance, address errors and support analytics instrumentation

• Strong experience building complex, production‑grade React Native applications
• Proven hands‑on engineering skills with the ability to take ownership of significant features or workstreams
• Experience mentoring teammates, supporting technical discussions and contributing to team decision‑making.
• Clear and confident communication with product, delivery and design partners
• Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and representing engineering within a squad
• Ability to balance high‑quality coding with proactive problem‑solving and team support
