SLD Pumps & Power, a Carrier company, is one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment, delivering reliability and innovation across every project.**About the Role:**We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team covering the Inverness area. This field-based role offers a mix of depot and on-site work across Northwest Scotland – an ideal opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience looking to take their career to the next level.**What You’ll Be Doing:*** Service, maintain, and repair pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in both depot and field environments.* Prepare and inspect equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.* Carry out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.* Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise equipment downtime.* Work closely with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.* Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies at all times.* Keep your working environment organised and equipment maintained to the highest standards.* Travel to customer sites and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.**What We’re Looking For:*** Mechanical experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.* Full UK Driving Licence.**Our Benefits:*** Competitive salary package (negotiable DOE)* Enhanced payments through overtime and on-call work* Company vehicle* 25 days holiday + bank holidays + holiday purchase scheme* Company pension* Excellent career progression opportunities, development, and continuous trainingAt Carrier, you’ll be part of a team that values your expertise and invests in your growth.
