Job summary
A local educational authority in Aylesbury is seeking a proactive Food Technician to join their Design & Technology team. This role involves preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence in using ICT. A Food Hygiene & Safety certificate is needed, or a willingness to obtain one. The position offers 37 hours per week on a permanent contract, aiming to contribute positively to the learning environment.
Qualifications
- Must be proactive and enthusiastic to support teaching of Food Technology.
- Ability to maintain food areas, equipment, and materials is essential.
- Must support health and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain food areas, equipment, and materials for lessons.
- Assist teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and shop for ingredients.
