Job summary
A leading engineering service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Rope Access NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing activities across various onshore and offshore assets. The ideal candidate will be IRATA-qualified and have strong technical competence in ultrasonic testing, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. This role involves executing inspections in challenging environments while complying with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
- PCN / CSWIP Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (minimum UT 3.1 & 3.2).
- IRATA certification (Level 1, 2, or 3).
Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) activities across various onshore and offshore assets.
- Execute NDT inspections at height or difficult-access locations.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and high-quality testing during operations.
Skills
The Rope Access NDT Technician will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) activities across various onshore and offshore assets while working via rope access methods. This ad-hoc role requires an IRATA-qualified technician with strong technical competence in ultrasonic testing (UT) and additional NDT methods. The technician will support inspection and maintenance operations across multiple industrial sectors, ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality testing. Duties include executing NDT inspections at height or difficult-access locations, adhering to industry standards, and maintaining all required offshore and safety certifications.
- PCN / CSWIP Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (minimum UT 3.1 & 3.2)
- IRATA certification (Level 1, 2, or 3)
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Offshore Survival Certification (BOSIET/FOET)
- UKOOA Medical
- MIST
- PCN / CSWIP Level 2 Radiographic Testing
- Pulsed Eddy Current experience
- UT 3.7, 3.8, 3.9
- Computed / Digital Radiography experience
