Job summary

A leading project management firm is seeking an Interim CAPEX Project Delivery Manager for a 9-month contract at £850 per day. This hybrid position involves overseeing a diverse portfolio of capital projects, managing stakeholder alignment, and ensuring effective project execution within a world-leading life sciences organization. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years' experience in engineering project delivery, strong leadership skills, and expertise in risk management and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years' experience in Engineering project delivery within complex, regulated environments (ideally Pharmaceuticals).
  • Expertise in risk management, financial reporting, contractor oversight, and assurance processes.
  • Skilled communicator, with the ability to manage and influence challenging stakeholders to a senior level.

  • Manage an external Delivery partner's execution of Capital projects with £100ms spend.

Role

Role: Interim CAPEX Project Delivery Manager

Rate: £850 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Location: Hybrid and Hertfordshire (4 days per week on site)

Duration: 9 months

Client: Global Pharmaceuticals organisation

An Interim Project Delivery Manager to manage an external Delivery partner's execution of Capital projects with £100ms spend, within a world-leading life sciences organisation.

This role is at the forefront of strategic change, directly supporting innovation, manufacturing excellence, and operational safety. You will steer complex portfolios, drive stakeholder alignment, and ensure seamless execution from concept to completion.

As Project Delivery Manager, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for infrastructure, refurbishment and modernisation of science laboratories.

You’ll be the key force in defining delivery strategy, directing cross-functional teams, and ensuring every project drives measurable business benefits.

Requirements
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder-management ability
  • 7-10 years' experience in Engineering project delivery within complex, regulated environments (ideally Pharmaceuticals).
  • Expertise in risk management, financial reporting, contractor oversight, and assurance processes.
