A leading consultancy is seeking a Design Assurance Engineer (Protection & Control) to ensure compliance with National Grid technical specifications and standards on its projects. The role offers home-based flexibility with potential travel requirements across the UK. Ideal candidates will have relevant engineering qualifications and experience in the Electricity Transmission sector.

Established in 2012, Omnia Projects is a respected specialist in T&D engineering, project management and technical assurance. With over 110 staff the company has delivered critical infrastructure for clients including National Grid, helping to shape the UK’s evolving energy system.
Design Assurance Engineer (Protection & Control) is responsible for undertaking National Grid BP188 P&C design assurance role on a variety of National Grid projects. This role ensures that designs for Protection and Control comply with National Grid technical specifications, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with National Grid Project Teams, DNO’s & Contractors, to support the timely delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant designs.
Experience of the UK Electricity Transmission and/or Distribution System is essential for this role.
