Assistant Crop Manager
Job summary
A top fresh produce supplier in the UK is seeking a motivated Crop Manager to oversee crops from planting to harvest. The ideal candidate will excel at monitoring crop growth, ensuring quality, and collaborating closely with Agronomists. Strong planning and IT skills, along with a passion for Agri-Tech, are essential. Previous farm experience is preferred. This position offers a chance to develop skills at one of the country’s largest vegetable growers.

- Full UK driving licence required.
- Previous farm experience is highly desirable.

We are looking to recruit an ambitious and progressive Crop Manager to further strengthen our Farming Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in crop care and plant health at one of the UK’s largest vegetable growers.
- You will be responsible for looking after the crop from planting through to harvest.
- Monitoring crop quality and growth, regularly communicating this information.
- Working closely with our Agronomist and Crop Managers.
- Strong planning skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding growing costs.
- Clear communication skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Sound decision‑making based on clear facts and thorough data analysis.
- Analysing performance reporting on key metrics and measuring success.
- Passionate about Agri‑Tech with a strong drive for ongoing development.
- Self‑motivation and effective working independently.
- Strong IT skills, and hands‑on experience using Agri ERP systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Previous farm experience is highly desirable.
