# Street Warden (P01358)**Street Warden** **(P01358)** **Starting salary £30,756pa with progression to £34,011pa through annual increments subject to satisfactory service** **37 hours per week rota including weekends (hybrid working)** **Permanent contract** We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to deliver the service functions within regulatory services. The Team covers a specialist area of Environmental Health. This role as part of the newly formed Enviro-crime team which help tackle environmental crime and low-level antisocial behaviour. **Key responsibilities:*** To provide a uniformed presence across the whole Welwyn Hatfield Borough area to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors in our neighbourhoods.* To help alleviate the problems associated with the nuisance caused by anti-social behaviour and environmental crime, such as fly tipping. To gather evidence and take enforcement action when required.* To liaise with other services within the council and with external partner organisations, to build relationships within the community, to raise awareness and carry out enforcement duties where necessary.To carry out the authority’s statutory duty for collecting and dealing with stray dogs and associated responsibilities including rehoming, immediate welfare which may include putting to sleep, enforcement of microchipping legislation and identification of banned breeds. Arrange payment and collection of appropriate fees. **We’re Looking For:** We’re seeking a confident and keen individual to help staff our newly formed Environmental Crime Team, with a genuine interest in public protection and supporting the business community. This is a high-impact role at the heart of a prominent public-facing service, offering the opportunity to shape standards across the borough. You will have a UK driving licence.
