Love fixing things, solving problems and keeping fast‑paced kit running smoothly? Join a busy, fully automated FMCG site in Folkestone where no two days are the same. This is a hands‑on role for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer who enjoys getting stuck in, working with modern machinery and being the go‑to person when the line needs a hero.
- Keep high‑speed processing and packaging lines running through PPM, fault‑finding and reactive repairs
- Track down and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on automated equipment
- Strip, rebuild and re‑align mechanical components; change bearings, gearboxes, conveyors and ancillaries
- Carry out electrical troubleshooting, wiring, motor and control component replacement and testing
- Get involved in improvement projects, upgrades and new equipment installs
- Keep accurate maintenance records and champion health & safety on shift
- Work closely with production and engineering to smash downtime targets and boost reliability
- Strong experience in an automated FMCG environment
- Hands‑on experience with processing and packaging machinery
- Mechanical qualification: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Electrical qualification: City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Confident mechanical and electrical fault‑finding on automated plant
- Great communicator and team player who can stay calm under pressure
- Flexible approach to shifts if required
- Experience with PLCs, drives and basic control systems
- Experience installing and commissioning new equipment
