Alta's cloud-based video surveillance solution offers industry leading full AI video analytics and exceptional operational insights. The Alta Video engineering team injects intelligence into their approach to security and all their solutions. They help organisations see, understand, and act on their surroundings to protect people, business, and reputation in real-time. ## Job Description**This role is working on a hybrid basis, consisting of approximately 2 days in the London office each week.**We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic junior mobile developer to join our team and help build native iOS and Android apps, working with Swift (SwiftUI) and Kotlin (Compose). Previous experience with these technologies is helpful but not required - we are looking for someone who is keen to learn and grow.**You will have the opportunity to:*** Design and implement new user interface components.* Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to build new features.* Learn how to render high resolution video and manage large sets of data efficiently.* At Avigilon Alta, you will make a defining contribution to the development of our products, by:* Writing clean, maintainable code and learning best practices from experienced developers.* Contributing ideas to improve our processes and tools.* Staying updated with new trends in mobile development and sharing your thoughts with the team.While this role focuses on mobile app development, there is scope for using technologies across the stack - such as Vue, Typescript, and Go.## Basic RequirementsAt Avigilon Alta, we develop our mobile applications in Swift and Kotlin, but also use a wide variety of different languages and frameworks. It is not expected that you would be familiar with these (or any of the other languages we use) but you should be enthusiastic and willing to learn new things. Although these are not compulsory skills, prior experience in any of the following would be an advantage:* Knowledge of a general-purpose programming language, especially any of: Swift, Kotlin, Go, Javascript, HTML or CSS* Experience designing or developing front-end applications.* Experience using Version Control Software such as Git as part of working in a team.You will also have achieved excellent academic results at a recognised university or are able to demonstrate outstanding technical skills, and be proficient in English.
