A local government organization is seeking a Senior CIL and S106 Officer to manage contributions and obligations from development projects. The role requires in-depth knowledge of CIL and S106, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Wandsworth and Richmond Councils have an exciting opportunity within the Spatial Planning Service, administering CIL and S106.
There is a variety of different types and scale of development in Richmond and Wandsworth, from the iconic Battersea Power Station and the Ram Brewery to small residential extensions. The Senior CIL and S106 Officer works across both Councils, with an extensive CIL and S106 caseload administering CIL and monitoring S106 agreements that relate to this development.
Developer contributions collected ensure necessary infrastructure to support Local Plan priorities can be delivered, whilst planning obligations ensure site specific mitigation of the impacts of new development for the benefit of residents, businesses and the local community.

You will work on a range of case work from householder applications to high profile developments across both Boroughs, providing comprehensive professional advice to colleagues and Senior Managers, and liaising with developers and residents. You will have responsibility for ensuring the Council complies with legislative requirements in administering and collecting CIL and monitoring S106 planning obligations, providing supervision of day to day tasks of the team to ensure delivery of an excellent service. You will ensure the Councils comply with reporting requirements and internal performance management targets, working to agreed and identifiable timescales.
