Job summary
A leading charity organization in London is seeking a qualified finance professional as Honorary Treasurer. This role involves overseeing financial strategy, risk, and governance to ensure the charity’s sustainability and impact. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience in financial management and a collaborative spirit. The position requires commitment to four Board meetings and four Finance & Operations Committee meetings annually, with some hybrid working options.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in financial management, risk, or audit.
- Ability to analyse and explain financial information.
- Experience in governance and compliance.
- Familiarity with charity accounting and reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate financial information is received by the Board.
- Help set and monitor reserves and investment policies.
- Oversee the audit process with external auditors.
- Support strategic financial planning and risk management.
