We are looking for a motivated Electrical Software Commissioning Engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. • Some internal assistance & training of staff across departments in PLC/HMI/SCADA Systems.
• Onsite final commissioning of software, working alone and with other commissioning team members. Final commissioning of software written by in house software engineers.
• Assisting with on-site customer demonstrations and trials.
• Project pre-order research and estimating by organising/attending meetings with customers and internal departments.
• Writing of control specification documents, such as testing schedules and operator manuals.
• Completion of required paperwork for each project/task that has been undertaken.
• Reading and understanding of electrical schematics and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
• Hardware integration - building & testing above hardware and inter-device/HMI communications.
• Software design & development for control systems including but not limited to - PLCs, field devices, HMIs. Typically having the ability to program from scratch on some or all of the following manufacturers Beijer HMIs, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley and Omron PLCs, HMIs and drives.
• Optimisation of existing software and HMI design through the correct channels and processes.
• Assisting with software design & development for recipe management and production reports such as integrating PLC systems with office based applications.
• Modification of existing systems on previous project.

The project is a retirement Village. each plot or a 1 or 2 bedroom apartments.

Commissioning Engineer - Residential Ductwork Ventilation.

Commissioning will include, kitchen extract, MVHR systems.

To commission residential ventilation systems, you typically need the following certificates:

• Ventilation Commissioning Certificate: This certificate is essential for demonstrating compliance with the Building Regulations Part F. It is provided by a BPEC-accredited engineer who has conducted the commissioning process.
• Flow Rate Test Certificate: Also known as a Part F Test, this certificate verifies the volume of air being extracted through the fan and compares it with the performance requirement.
• PEATA Certificate: This certificate is used to certify the performance of the ventilation system.
• Airflow Test Certificate: This certificate ensures that the ventilation system operates as intended and performs in line with the design.
  These certificates are crucial for ensuring that the ventilation system meets the necessary standards and functions correctly, contributing to the overall health and safety of the building occupants

Fire & Security Installation & Commissioning Engineer - Located Manchester / Leeds

We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire & Security Project Engineer, we're looking for someone who is Midlands-based who is happy to accommodate frequent travel as required.

A self-motivated Engineer role working as part of a team in the UK. The position will involve working closely with the Project Manager on all projects from inception through to completion and will involve site supervision and man management from time to time and commissioning multisystem projects within the UK.

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of CCTV, Fire, Intruder, Access Control, and Nurse Call systems to support contractual and technical project reviews, working in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure successful delivery.
• Attend project sites as required to oversee progress, provide technical input, and support project execution.
• Carry out commissioning, system handovers, and end-user training for small systems when necessary.
• Ensure full compliance with current industry standards, delivering multi-discipline systems efficiently, on time, and within budget.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales and Installation Managers to support seamless, end-to-end project delivery.
• Coordinate subcontractor resources and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical and quality audits as needed, including supporting NSI (National Security Inspectorate) audit compliance.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to manage workload effectively, working independently when required.
• Apply strong time management skills, working alongside the Project Manager to continually develop and refine project coordination capabilities.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence and be flexible with travel to various site locations.
• Exhibit strong IT proficiency, with the ability to configure software related to fire and security system commissioning.
• Take full responsibility for ensuring systems are commissioned and handed over in accordance with relevant standards, maintaining project quality and budgetary control throughout.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
