As a Technical Supervisor, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the Dartford River Crossing and tunnel. Managing a team of M&E Maintenance Technicians and overseeing subcontractors, you’ll maintain safety and compliance, conduct site visits, briefings, and debriefings, and contribute to risk assessments and method statements. You’ll drive continuous improvement, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and align resources with operational needs to support the long‑term success of the M25 network.

• M&E Maintenance Management: Maintain expert knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant, manage work activities focusing on methodology, safety, and delivery; engage staff and subcontractors; prepare briefings; deliver debriefs; review dashboards; conduct pre‑site inspections; maintain accurate records; ensure resource availability; oversee fleet management.
• Safety and Compliance: Drive Zero Harm objectives, raise risk awareness, lead by example, contribute to risk assessments, engage workforce, raise awareness of network risks.
• Leadership: People management tasks (performance, absence, overtime), support development, manage rotas, conduct PDRs, communicate, deliver toolbox talks.
• Continuous Improvement & Sustainability: Encourage improvement culture, identify cost‑saving opportunities, support sustainability objectives.

• CSCS card holder – Supervisor; Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification; SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Previous experience in the maintenance of HV, LV, high volume pumps and safety systems in a highways and tunnels environment.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards within a highways context.
• Competent user of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Current UK driving licence.
• Proven experience managing and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to write clear briefings and records.

• BPSS Check.
• HAVS Questionnaire.
• Critical Safety Medical.

The role follows a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern, rotating equally between day and night shifts.
