A leading manufacturer of power transmission solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage installation and maintenance of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant experience and an HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, ensuring compliance, and supervising maintenance staff. This role offers opportunities for growth and leadership within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Are you inspired by challenging the status quo? Do you thrive in collaborative environments that drive results? If so, Gates could be for you. Gates is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. We push the boundaries of material science to engineer solutions that continually exceed customer expectations. The main function of the Electrical Engineer role is to specify, plan and implement the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment and to improve equipment performance. An Electrical Engineer must, at all times, use their expertise to ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory and Corporate HSE requirements.
Due to the nature of the role, demonstration of effective supervision, leadership and management is required at all times. This includes effective communication, people development, performance management and dealing with conflict. The Electrical Engineer requires in-depth engineering knowledge of electrical installations, control systems and manufacturing equipment, including equipment design, maintenance, diagnostics and repair.
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineers will be responsible for day-to-day supervision and support of Electrical Maintenance personnel, ensuring individual and team performance and standards are at a consistently high level to meet business priorities. This includes providing effective and consistent communication across the Electrical Maintenance team and addressing any performance-related issues. The role will also manage or support projects as allocated by the Engineering Manager, ensuring regular updates to key stakeholders until project completion.
