With over 2,000 customers and ARR that has more than quadrupled over the past year, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. ClickHouse’s incredible momentum was confirmed in its recent $350M Series C financing that included new, tier one investors, Khosla Ventures, BOND, IVP, Battery Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners. We’re on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!

ClickHouse is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join as an early member of ClickHouse’s elite and business-focused Legal team. You will be responsible for supporting ClickHouse’s EMEA sales team in reviewing and negotiating customer agreements and providing legal support for ClickHouse’s revenue-generating activities. You’ll be a trusted advisor and business enabler, in a rapidly growing company, while maintaining high standards for both legal practice and business ethics. You will report to ClickHouse’s Associate General Counsel.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Become an important member of the commercial legal team responsible for supporting the go-to-market team by reviewing and negotiating ClickHouse’s customer contracts. Your primary focus will be supporting the EMEA sales team, with opportunities to support APAC and the Americas as we grow the commercial legal function.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the EMEA sales team and act as a solutions-oriented business partner to ClickHouse’s EMEA sales team by providing pragmatic, sound legal counsel.
  • Lead complex cross-border transactions with sophisticated counterparties located across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor and advise on relevant regulatory, compliance or legal developments impacting the business in the EMEA region, and partner with the broader Legal team and cross-functional stakeholders where required.
  • Provide training and enablement to internal stakeholders on legal issues and contract processes.
  • Help maintain and update our legal agreements, policies, and templates; develop and improve scalable workflows to enable rapid revenue growth and stability for the company.
What You Bring Along:
  • Law degree and member in good standing in the UK or EU jurisdiction (preferred, UK, The Netherlands or Germany); international legal experience a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience practicing both with a law firm and in-house at a high growth technology company.
  • Proven experience drafting, negotiating and closing complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners and resellers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of commercial legal issues related to SaaS and software licensing (i.e., data privacy, security, intellectual property, open-source, revenue recognition, and tax), professional services and other go-to-market programs (such as partner/reseller programs).
  • Excellent judgement, strong business orientation and ability to translate legal risk into practical commercial advice within the context of business objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills; ability to build trust and strong relationships with ClickHouse’s sales team, cross-functional stakeholders and ClickHouse’s customers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience supporting high growth infrastructure SaaS company
  • Remote, but preferred location in the U.K., the Netherlands or Germany
