Job summary
An educational institution in Wales is seeking a Security Officer to join its Estates and Facilities team. The primary aim is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. The successful candidate will provide visible security presence on campus and deter inappropriate behaviour. Applicants need prior security experience, ideally in a business setting. This role requires a DBS check and includes standard business hours with occasional out-of-hours work. The position commences in January 2026 and applications should be made via an application form before the closing date of January 2, 2026.

Merthyr Tydfil College are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join its Estates and Facilities team. Monday through to Friday core business hours, with 1-week in 5 out-of-hours on‑call, and the occasional requirement to work 'out of hours' with advance notice.
A DBS check is a requirement of this post.
