The Role:

Oxfam GB is looking for a Corporate Responsibility Advisor (Environment) who is passionate about tackling climate change and able to design practical solutions to a wide range of environmental impacts. This is a technical role requiring proven expertise in carbon data analysis and reporting (including scope 3) as you’ll lead on Oxfam GB's carbon accounting and reporting including setting and measuring against carbon reduction targets.

This is an exciting role which provides an opportunity to advise on a wide range of topics, including the materials in our retail products, circular economy initiatives for unsold stock and supply and logistics operations both in the UK and internationally.

You will also be part of an organisation that actively campaigns on the drivers of climate change, and understands the need to develop solutions which balance human, environmental, commercial and operational factors.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Experience of research and knowledge of key sources of information for environmental issues including but not limited to the drivers of climate change, origin of products, the impacts of various industries on the environment, key environmental legislation, end of life of product disposal and waste management
  • Experience of carbon accounting, reporting, developing and assessing different reduction strategies
  • Fully IT literate, across Microsoft Office Package with particularly strong excel skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to use clear examples to explain complex issues
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise, coordinate and forward plan several tasks at the same time, whilst dealing with the need to respond to immediate requirements.
