Job summary
A leading food company based in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Manager to oversee raw material approvals and compliance with safety standards. The role involves managing supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to UK and EU regulations. Candidates should have a degree in food science, significant experience in food safety, and strong IT skills. The position supports hybrid work arrangements, reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager.
Qualifications
- Significant food technical experience, including microbiology and HACCP.
- Able to influence effectively at all levels and cross-functionally.
- Experience with Hamilton Grant Specifications System preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage raw material approval and supplier non-conformance.
- Conduct raw material risk assessments and testing programs.
- Support the Quality Team and engage with suppliers regarding compliance.
