A leading care provider located in North Hykeham is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to prepare meals and promote resident satisfaction. This role involves engaging with residents, ensuring kitchen hygiene, and being part of a supportive team. Previous experience is not required; training will be provided. As a Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for helping to prepare the meals, snacks and drinks for residents within the guidelines set by the Home Manager and Chef / Cook. You will understand and promote the philosophy of choice rights and fulfilment for all residents. You will get to know the residents and understand their likes and dislikes to ensure that they enjoy their dining experience.

Beckside is a 57 bed Care Home situated in North Hykeham. The home offers tranquility through beautiful views which often enhances spiritual wellbeing in a comfortable, homely setting.

You’ll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner.
You don’t need to have previous formal catering experience, as we’ll give you the training you need, although it would be helpful if you hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. What we’re looking for is someone who is keen on cooking and takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards. You’ll have a positive can-do approach, with good communication skills and you’ll be passionate about ensuring our residents receive the best service possible.
You’ll be confident in engaging with our elderly residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.
