A leading engineering firm based in Plymouth is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee critical projects for national security. The role involves ensuring the technical delivery of major infrastructure projects and coordinating internal and external resources. Candidates should possess strong technical expertise and significant experience in engineering, preferably with a Civil Engineering background. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to safety-critical projects that directly contribute to national security, while advancing your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll take responsibility for managing the technical delivery of major infrastructure projects that support the Royal Navy’s submarine maintenance programme. You’ll act as the Technical Authority and single point of contact, leading resources and ensuring design outputs meet stringent safety and quality standards.
This role is focused specifically on operating as the Client side Intelligent Customer role for design and construction of a renovated site to house a new facility in a nuclear regulated environment. This role supports the cross-site capability and service links through the subway network, this includes but is not limited to:
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of two days in the office/onsite.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
