Transition Support Group Worker (Residential Rehab)

Location: The Hub Academy, Brimscombe, Stroud
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 pro rata
Hours: 21 hours over 4 days
Holidays:25 days per annumpro rata
Pension: 6% employer contribution

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the Journey: Coordinate and deliver our Recovery Capital programme for clients preparing to move from residential treatment back into the community.
• Facilitate Growth: Run inspiring group sessions and workshops, and provide 1:1 support to help clients identify their strengths, overcome barriers, and set meaningful goals.
• Build Connections: Work closely with residential staff, peer mentors, and our aftercare team to ensure every client has a robust move‑on plan and strong links to their local area.
• Empower Independence: Support clients to explore volunteering, build social connections, and gain confidence through group trips and community activities.
• Champion Recovery: Help clients leave treatment with the tools, confidence, and support networks they need to sustain their recovery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience delivering recovery‑based groups or workshops, and supporting people 1:1
• Knowledge of local organisations and activities (desirable)
• Understanding of the needs of people in recovery from substance misuse and trauma
• Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
• A positive, self‑motivated team player who can build therapeutic relationships and maintain professional boundaries
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and confidentiality
• Car driver with access to a vehicle

Relevant qualifications (such as Level 3 NVQ in Information Advice and Guidance, or Level 3 Award in Education and Training) are desirable, but not essential.
