We\'re currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to be based within our East Anglia region, ideally based from Ipswich but covering all 3 ports in the region. You should have a civil engineering background with exposure to delivering multiple projects valued up to circa £10m, you\'ll need to have some 2D Cad experience and should have a practical understanding of UK CDM Regulations. Examples of upcoming and live projects are an expansion of our Ipswich Marina and extension of rail lines onto the Port Estate, you\'ll be responsible for covering a number of smaller complex projects with an average value under £1m, but can go up to £20m in value for larger projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Safe and compliant execution of projects to Time, Quality, Cost and Risk from Concept through to Closure.
• Regular and timely project reporting enabling portfolio visibility, robust cash flow forecasting and risk management.
• Audit projects for compliance and delivery to the plan.
• Develop procurement strategies and project execution synergies, hence providing optimum value for money.
• Alongside the Asset Management team, take an active role in developing the 5 year asset investment plans related to the creation, refurbishment and/or upgrade of the assets.

Skills & Experience

• Educated to graduate degree level with relevant professional qualifications/professional body membership in a relevant engineering/APM discipline.
• Chartered engineer would be nice to have, but isn\'t an essential requirement
• Proven track record of managing the delivery of projects across all aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Strong commercial acumen and working knowledge of forms of contract.
• The job holder needs excellent interpersonal, communication and relational abilities. Understands the link between engagement and performance.
• Knowledge and experience of project management governance systems and continuous improvement in a regulated and/or safety critical industry. (Ideal)
• Experience of working with project management modules in an Enterprise Resource Planning system, ideally SAP. (Ideal)
