Are you an Engineer looking to progress your career into Project Management? Would you like to take projects from inception, develop them, procure them, deliver them and see them being utilised in a busy port environment?

We’re the largest port operator in the U.K. managing 21 ports around the country, all of which helps to support 119,000 jobs and contribute £7.5 billion to the economy every year, as we handle £150 billion of trade. Annually we handle 900,000 vehicles, accepting 3 million cruise passengers, and handle exports in excess of £40Bn through the 2nd largest container terminal in the UK. In the last few years we’ve expanded the port through the acquisition of the Marchwood Military Port where we’ve already delivered a number of key projects.

Due to recent internal promotions within the team, we’re looking to recruit a Project Engineer to cover projects across our Southampton ports. Managing projects valued between £50k to £20m, we’re after a Civil Engineering focused Project Manager with experience of infrastructure works. Working on a variety of assets from 100-year-old dock walls, large portal frame sheds, rail, drainage, pavements and jetties, this role has huge variety. Recent projects currently in flight include major dredging works, renewals of road and walkways, new sheds for building products and car storage expansion.

You should hold a Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or similar subject, as well as experience of delivering your own projects. A strong commitment to Health and Safety is essential and you\'ll have experience of overseeing contractor and consultant works on similar sized projects.
