A prominent ports operator in the UK is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to oversee improvements in finance systems and processes. You will work closely with both Finance and IT to optimize system functionality, ensuring compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive ERP knowledge, particularly with SAP, and strong project management skills. The Role - Finance Systems Manager
The Purpose:
The Finance Systems Manager role within the Controllership team is a key role managing the implementation of new systems, upgrades and/or changes to facilitate improved processes. It is the responsibility of this role to ensure financial systems and related processes are optimised, efficient, secure, compliant/well-controlled, and aligned with business needs.
You will act as the bridge between Finance and IT, translating business needs into technical solutions, resolving issues and delivering projects. You will have the ability to identify process and technology optimisation opportunities to streamline finance processes through system functionality. You will seek continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work whilst maintaining financial control and compliance
