Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT Infrastructure / Technical Delivery within an MSP or similar environment.
• Solid experience in BAU support, ideally at 3rd line level, handling complex escalations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack, networking, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), firewalls, and cloud platforms.

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for delivering exceptional technical solutions and supporting critical infrastructure?
We're looking for a hands‑on Technical Delivery Engineer to join a growing MSP in Manchester, combining project delivery with BAU support and 3rd line escalation work for a varied and rewarding role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, implement and maintain core IT infrastructure components including servers, networking, storage, and virtualisation.
• Deliver infrastructure and cloud projects for clients - ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
• Provide 3rd line BAU support for complex technical issues, acting as an escalation point for the service desk and wider support team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents efficiently to minimise downtime and impact.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to scope, design, and deliver infrastructure solutions tailored to business needs.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to drive efficiency, resilience, and service improvements.
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
• Build strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and technical expertise.

What We’re Looking For

• ✅ Proven experience in IT Infrastructure / Technical Delivery within an MSP or similar environment
• ✅ Solid experience in BAU support, ideally at 3rd line level, handling complex escalations
• ✅ Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack, networking, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper‑V), firewalls, and cloud platforms (Azure, M365)
• ✅ Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• ✅ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams
• ✅ A proactive problem‑solver with a passion for technology and service excellence
