Job description
Overview

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Infrastructure Project Manager to join our IT Infrastructure & Transformation team in Bournemouth on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis (potential for a permanent role).

This is an exciting opportunity to help lead the delivery of infrastructure and technology projects across the firm, working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure change is delivered effectively and with minimal disruption.

About the Role

As an Infrastructure Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of infrastructure and technology-related projects, from upgrades and migrations to security and resilience initiatives. Acting as the bridge between technical engineers and the wider business, you’ll ensure projects are well planned, clearly communicated, and governed from start to finish.

You’ll play a key role in driving successful delivery by coordinating resources, managing risks, and keeping stakeholders engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities
  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and technology projects.
  • Defining project scope, plans, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies.
  • Translating technical activities into clear, structured delivery plans.
  • Acting as the central point of contact for project communication.
  • Providing clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders in business-focused language.
  • Facilitating project meetings, workshops, RAID reviews, and decision-making sessions.
  • Maintaining project governance documentation, including plans, status reports, and risk logs.
  • Escalating risks and issues promptly, with practical mitigation proposals.
  • Supporting portfolio and PMO reporting as required.
  • Working closely with infrastructure engineers, service teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Removing delivery blockers and helping technical teams stay focused on outcomes.
  • Coordinating testing, change, communications, and user readiness activities.
  • Ensuring smooth handover into business-as-usual operations with clear documentation and acceptance criteria.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-5 years of experience managing IT or infrastructure projects in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear business language.
  • Experience working with technical teams and external suppliers.
  • Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery controls.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise project documentation and reports.
  • Experience within a professional services environment (desirable).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as networks, cloud, end-user computing, or security (desirable).
  • Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM, or Agile PM (desirable).

If you’re a calm, confident, and delivery-focused Project Manager with a passion for technology and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
