Job Title: Head of Operations (COO)

Location: Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Operations (COO) to oversee and manage the operational, regulatory, and strategic functions of our firm based in ADGM. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial operations and fund administration with a strong understanding of both ADGM and SEBI regulations. The COO will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless fund operations, regulatory compliance, and investor relations while optimizing overall business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance and Governance
   • Oversee day-to-day operations at the ADGM office, Operations, Committee meetings and Internal/ External Audit functions.
   • Ensure full compliance with ADGM and SEBI regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT policies and reporting obligations.
   • Maintain and ensure compliance with FPI (Foreign Portfolio Investor) guidelines, registration, and adherence to permissible investment limits.
2. Fund Operations and Administration
   • Oversee Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, reconciliations with fund administrators, and discrepancy resolutions.
   • Manage interactions with custodians and banks, ensuring smooth fund transfers, settlements, and reconciliations.
   • Coordinate with Indian Chartered Accountants (CAs) to ensure timely and accurate tax calculations on capital gains and interest income.
   • Oversee investor onboarding, KYC checks, and processing of subscriptions and redemptions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
3. Audit and Compliance Supervision
   • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial reporting and regulatory standards.
   • Enforce corporate governance policies, documenting procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
   • Ensure timely submission of regulatory reports related to audits and compliance findings.
4. Stakeholder and Regulator Relations
   • Manage Board Meetings, Investment Committees, Risk Committees, and Compliance Committee Meetings, ensuring proper governance and decision-making.
   • Oversee investor relations, NAV reporting, and the preparation of fund fact sheets, investor presentations, and social media communications.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Chartered Accountant is desirable
• 10+ years of experience in operations, compliance, fund management, or asset management within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of ADGM and SEBI regulatory frameworks.
• Expertise in fund administration, investment operations, NAV calculations, and risk management.
• Experience in managing audits, regulatory reporting, and corporate governance.
• Familiarity with quantitative trading models and portfolio risk assessment is an advantage.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and interact with key stakeholders.
