H&A is growing and looking to expand our team of professionals with Boston career-level and ownership opportunities based out of our Worcester, MA office. We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee the activities and team of our Worcester office.

The Worcester Office Director (WOD) will lead the team and direct the operations of the Worcester office while Project Managing a variety of educational, commercial, and municipal project types. The WOD will ensure high-quality architectural services with well-designed, on-budget, and on-schedule projects that meet or exceed client expectations.

As a Senior Project Manager, the WOD will have primary responsibility in managing both the client relationship and project success, as measured in client satisfaction, work quality, and profitability. The Sr. PM will manage all phases of a project through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, estimating, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration, with the authority to direct and monitor all activities. We are committed to encouraging and promoting team professionalism and collaboration, and this role is critical in modeling this belief. Approximately 10-20% travel independently to client sites primarily in MA and New England is expected for the position, with overnight travel rare.

Qualifications include:

  • Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture.
  • U.S. Licensed Architect.
  • 15+ years of project experience in educational, commercial, and/or municipal/institutional project types.
  • Experience performing in and leading a collaborative environment, where diversity is recognized and celebrated.
  • Strong and positive client management, team management, and communication skills are a must.
  • Proven technical construction documentation/specification expertise, and the ability to perform construction administration.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and responsive.
