ER Officer within HR
Job summary
A well-established company in the telecom sector is looking for an Employee Relations Officer to join their HR team. You will provide comprehensive ER support and act as a first point of contact for queries while contributing to strategic HR projects. This hybrid role requires experience in employee relations and HR case management, offering a rate of £20-27 per hour for an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Qualifications
- Qualified or working towards a CIPD Level 5 certification or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in HR and employee relations case management.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to employee and manager queries regarding policies and procedures.
- Prepare ER and HR related reports.
- Draft employee outcome letters and HR policies.
- Manage a portfolio of ER cases.
- Provide advice on ER and HR policies to managers.
- Track and assess workplace situations in relation to cases.
Skills
Our client, based within the telecoms sector, is looking for an Employee Relations (ER) Officer to join their HR (Human Resources) team.
You will provide full ER support service within the HR team and to internal and external customers. You will act as the first point of contact for ER and HR enquiries and contribute to and support strategic HR projects.
ER Officer within HR
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 months (with possible extension)
Location: hybrid – 1/2 days a week in either Irlam or Telford office
Rate: £20-27 per hour
Pay framework: inside IR35 – Umbrella Company
- Respond to all employee and manager queries relating to policies and procedures and provide comprehensive advice
- Prepare ER and, where needed, HR related reports
- Draft outcome letters and HR policies
- Manage a portfolio of ER cases, at various levels (including performance improvement processes and absence management)
- Give advice and support to department managers on various ER and HR policies and processes
- Track and respond to queries and cases
- Assess workplace situations, evaluate information and draw accurate observations in relation to a case or situation; complete risk identification and assessment against each case and ensure that this is managed accordingly
- Contribute to HR data governance
- Update relevant HR systems
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement within the team
- Provide support to the wider HR team as required and respond to HR Operations queries
- Qualified or working towards a CIPD Level 5 or have equivalent experience
- Experience of HR and employee relations case management
- Experience of working within a fast‑paced environment with different departments
