Ultrafast Fibre Optic Splicer – Field Technician
Job summary
A fibre provider in the UK is seeking a Fibre Optic Network Splicer. In this full-time role, you will install and splice optical fibre cables while providing exceptional service. Your duties will include troubleshooting issues and contributing to an effective team dynamic. The ideal candidate will have experience in fibre networks, a valid driving license, and a strong commitment to safety. Qualifications
- Strong background in fusion splicing and OTDR testing on fibre networks.
- Valid NRSWA Street Works Operative card is required.
- Comfortable working at heights and within the underground network.
Responsibilities
- Installing optical fibre cable into distribution points and patch panels.
- Splicing and testing optical fibres to customer premises.
- Updating records and documenting completed works.
- Taking part in a 24-hour call-out team for emergency repairs.
