Raspberry Pi is hiring a Technical Writer to help our documentation team create and maintain documentation, white papers, and datasheets. With the help of our engineers, hardware, and source code, you'll create written materials that document Raspberry Pi hardware and software. This position is based at our office in Cambridge, UK.

The successful applicant is likely to be someone with a strong background in technology who is enthusiastic about honing their writing skills, or someone with a solid background in writing or editing who is excited by the opportunity to develop their technical knowledge.

Founded as a charity in 2008 and selling its first computer in 2012, today Raspberry Pi is two separate organisations in two locations:

• Raspberry Pi Ltd (that's us!) builds best-selling computers, microcontrollers, and supporting software for home users and industry
• the Raspberry Pi Foundation is a charitable enterprise dedicated to enabling all young people to realise their full potential through computing

• Hands‑on interest or strong background in technology, preferably with at least some coding experience
• Experience writing in a technical context
• Willingness and ability to learn about technology at all levels of the stack: from silicon, to SBCs (single board computers), to operating systems, to documentation infrastructure, to SaaS (Software as a Service)

We anticipate that applicants may bring a wide range of skills and previous experience across the different elements of the role. Accordingly, there is a wide salary range for this position, with specifics to be discussed with the successful applicant. Other benefits include:

• Employer pension contributions of 8% if employee contributes 4% of gross salary into the company salary sacrifice pension plan
