A leading university seeks a Stewardship Officer to secure external funding through high-quality grant proposals. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of funders and researching new funding opportunities. Candidates should have significant fundraising experience and a proven track record of securing income. The Stewardship Officer (Grant Writer) will play an important role in securing external funding to support the strategic fundraising priorities of the University. The postholder will research, develop and write compelling, high-quality funding proposals to trusts, foundations, corporates and other grant‑making bodies raising vital funds. They will manage a portfolio of active and prospective funders, identify new opportunities and develop tailored strategies to maximise success. The postholder will also contribute to stewardship activity by preparing progress reports and impact reports for funders, strengthening long‑term relationships and supporting the growth of the University’s philanthropic income.
