Ideal candidate background: Manufacturing environment with chemicals, blending vessels, production lines, and warehouse facilities
Health & Safety Manager role & responsibilities:
- The Health & Safety Manager will oversee day-to-day H&S operations in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Maintain and improve H&S management systems (CDM background beneficial)
- Ensure compliance with key regulations including COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, and DSEAR
- Conduct gap analyses, implement improvements in a manufacturing environment
- Support ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) using QMS effectively
- Fire and risk assessments; building safety
- Engaging stakeholders across logistics, manufacturing, and leadership
- Driving change management & influencing positive change throughout the business
- Training and mentoring
Health & Safety Manager Experience:
- Candidates must come from Manufacturing/engineering background
- NEBOSH general with fire
- Strong auditing experience to ISO standards
- Auditing (ISO), H&S as primary focus, change management, and training delivery
- Ideally have experience in pharmaceutical
- Must have strong experience with COSHH, PUWER, ATEX, LOLER, DSEAR etc.
