Reporting to: Operations Planning Supervisor
Reference: R9158
Responsible for facilitating the production of animal feed by ensuring that both internal and external quality standards are met. The role involves the safe and timely processing of goods, compliance with industry regulations, and support of plant operations.
- Operate intake, weighbridge and warehouse management systems.
- Enforce traffic and visitor rules at the site.
- Assist in emergency or incident situations.
- Support hazard and accident reporting processes.
- Sample, test and report raw materials on arrival.
- Accurately weigh, record, handle and report incoming and outgoing materials.
- Support the complaints process, carrying out QC checks and investigations.
- Proactively aid the PM and TM/SL to maintain plant efficiency and identify improvements.
- Perform hygiene tasks required for safe and compliant operation.
- Work within the Environmental Management System to meet internal and external standards (140001/50001).
- Assist in colleague training as appropriate.
- Cover other production and operations roles as required.
- Undertake site improvement works, particularly where audit compliance is involved.
- Support pest control across the site.
- Other ad hoc tasks as requested.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Understanding/Knowledge of SAP.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑starter and highly organised.
