**Purpose*** To co-ordinate month end processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting on month-end results and preparation of management accounts.* To co-ordinate year end processes to ensure that accurate financial information is prepared and audited in accordance with statutory requirements.* To co-ordinate reforecasting, planning and budgeting processes.* To undertake analysis and supporting commentaries to highlight issues to ExCom, Partnership Board (PB) and Global Finance Committee (GFC).* To take responsibility for Group Reporting contact network across the firm in order to improve understanding of regional issues and to provide a concerted oversight and support network for Group Reporting areas.**Your key responsibilities****Month-end reporting*** Control the month-end process. Ensure that required updates and checks to the month-end processes are incorporated. Escalate issues on systems to P&I and ISS and on figures in accounts to Finance Managers and Regional Controllers.* Supervise key controls underpinning management accounts preparation, e.g. inter-office reconciliation/assurances over operation of recharges, to provide assurance of accuracy of financial information. Develop improvements to our procedures that enhance accuracy and timeliness of delivery of financial information.* Prepare commentaries, analysis and presentations to support financial information, including on expenditure, office/PG performance for FMP and financial results. Work with the Head of Internal Audit & Group Reporting and Group Finance Director to identify and highlight issues of importance to CFO/FMP/ExCom/PB as appropriate.**Year-end process and accounts preparation*** Take responsibility for the timely delivery of all aspects of year end reporting, including Statutory WIP review, statutory ISS journals and period 12 and 13 close so that accurate and supported figures can be satisfactorily incorporated into our audited accounts. Resolve issues with Finance Managers impacting financial statements.* Monitor global audits with external auditors and be the auditors’ key client for operational issues on audit arrangements. Co-ordinate the audit process to ensure that key issues are escalated early to the Head of Internal Audit & Group Finance Director.* Assist with analysis, reports and presentations on year-end results to audiences such as ExCom and PB. Ensure timely completion of year-end surveys and liaise with Corporate Affairs and Communications team regarding communication with external Press.* Be accountable for consolidated reports that summarise the firm’s results by office. Ensure that reports prepared will meet Tax & Partnership’s year-end requirements.* Co-ordinate posting of tax/PAM journals with Tax & Partnership and remittance of profit journals. In conjunction with Tax & Partnership, ensure that the closing Tax and Revenue reserves position is materially accurate as a support for the consolidated accounts.* Take ownership of preparation of consolidation adjustments and subsequent preparation of year-end LLP accounts together with subsidiary financial statements.**Planning, budgeting and reforecasting*** In conjunction with the Business Analytics & Insights team, ensure that appropriate systems are in place to capture financial and performance information to support the budgeting process. Oversee integrity checks on data input into and reported through the budgeting tool.* Agree and communicate workable timetables to manage the planning and budgeting processes. Agree these with the requirements of other stakeholders, teams and departments e.g. Group Finance Director, CFO, office Finance teams, Divisional Finance teams.* Supervise the central moderation of budgeted financial data and ensure that appropriate reporting is in place to allow senior management to moderate and validate data.* Undertake reporting of budgeted data to key stakeholders, ensuring appropriate support and analysis is provided.* Prepare high level reforecast based on insights from discussion with Regional Heads of Finance, Business Management and other stakeholders.* Organise quarterly financial updates with Regional Heads of Finance to ensure understanding of latest performance and issues.**Co-ordination of other Group Reporting processes and cyclical work, to include:*** Annual SAP hierarchy change* NRR review* Continuous improvement to reporting packages and presentations.* Ad-hoc analysis to support Group Finance Director and CFO.* Provision of support to the global Finance Community.**Line management responsibility for the Group Reporting team:*** Manage own team’s work by maintaining a prioritised schedule of work, ensuring workloads are appropriate and all team members are motivated.* Continuous development of the team through support and coaching and by providing regular feedback. Undertake appraisals and recruitment for the team and set appropriate and timely objectives.**Your experience*** 10+ years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting within global professional services firms, preferably in the legal sector, ensuring high standards of data accuracy, compliance, and insight-led decision support.* Strong understanding of statutory accounting procedures and practical exposure to preparation of complex consolidations.* Experience of LLP accounting desirable.* Managed group audits covering multiple jurisdictions.* Led the preparation of consolidated reports and financial dashboards for senior leadership, delivering clear visibility on key performance indicators and supporting strategic planning initiatives.* Ability to write complex, numerical issues in a clear and concise way to non-experts.**Qualifications**Qualified Accountant, ACA qualified (due to statutory nature of the role) desirable.**Additional Skills**Extremely organised – able to prioritise and manage workloadExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent eye for detail and presentation**The Team**You will be welcomed into the Finance team as a valued and integral member of the group.
