Overview
Chambers and Partners is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Systems and People Advisor to join our dynamic People team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our HR systems while providing informed guidance on a range of People-related queries and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our People operations within a globally recognised organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
People
- To provide first-line generalist People advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and People policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters on advice.
- Work in partnership with People BP with key stakeholders on implementing new people approaches.
- Support People BP on ER cases.
- Support with performance management process.
- Execution of specialist project as required by the people team.
People Systems Management
- Maintain and optimise People systems, ensuring data integrity and system functionality.
- Implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve user experience and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to People staff on system usage and best practices.
- Audit systems to determine improvements and potential automations.
- Utilise People system to collect, analyse, and interpret People data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualisations to present data in an accessible and actionable format.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with People team members to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Lead projects to implement new technologies and tools that enhance People operations.
Reporting
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to support People operations and strategic planning.
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs.
- Present findings and recommendations to People leadership and People BP’s.
Collaboration
- Work closely with People team members and other departments to understand data needs and provide solutions.
- Work closely with relevant managers and People BP on ER cases as required.
- Partner with IT and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of People systems.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to discuss data-related initiatives and challenges.
Compliance
- Ensure People data and systems comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor data security and privacy practices to protect sensitive information.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to maintain compliance.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in an HR generalist role, HR systems management or related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR, HR legal compliance, data principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret and utilise people data to drive HR strategies and initiatives.
- Experience in developing, maintaining HR systems and dashboards.
Person Specification
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Strong understanding in UK compliance and employment law.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail in data management, reporting and advisory level.
- Flexibility in managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
