Job summary
A public utility company based in Belfast is seeking a finance professional to provide business partnering and support to senior managers. Responsibilities include preparing accounts, conducting financial analysis, and delivering expert financial advice. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified with at least 2 years' finance experience, including management accounts. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £37k to £45k with hybrid working options.

Responsibilities
- Provide finance business partnering and day-to-day support to senior managers and budget holders.
- Produce monthly and year-end accounts, reports, and financial analysis.
- Support budget setting, forecasting, variance analysis, and year-end outturns.

The role:
- Provide finance business partnering and day-to-day support to senior managers and budget holders
- Produce monthly and year-end accounts, reports, and financial analysis
- Support budget setting, forecasting, variance analysis, and year-end outturns
- Deliver expert financial advice on service changes, efficiencies, and costings
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and audit requirements
- Prepare statutory, assurance, and management reporting returns
- Support continuous improvement and provide financial training to non-finance managers
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
- Part-qualified accountant with foundation-level exams completed (recognised professional body)
- Minimum 2 years' accounting/finance experience, including at least 1 year in financial management or management accounts
- Proven experience in budget reporting, supporting budget holders, and annual budget setting
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external partners
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience using financial systems, including accounting ledgers and budgetary control systems
- Annual salary equivalent £37-45k
- Hybrid working
