Job description

The role:

  • Provide finance business partnering and day-to-day support to senior managers and budget holders
  • Produce monthly and year-end accounts, reports, and financial analysis
  • Support budget setting, forecasting, variance analysis, and year-end outturns
  • Deliver expert financial advice on service changes, efficiencies, and costings
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and audit requirements
  • Prepare statutory, assurance, and management reporting returns
  • Support continuous improvement and provide financial training to non-finance managers
The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:
  • Part-qualified accountant with foundation-level exams completed (recognised professional body)
  • Minimum 2 years' accounting/finance experience, including at least 1 year in financial management or management accounts
  • Proven experience in budget reporting, supporting budget holders, and annual budget setting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across internal and external partners
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience using financial systems, including accounting ledgers and budgetary control systems
