A leading financial technology company in Greater London is looking for a Platform Engineer to develop and operate their internal cloud-based database platform. You will collaborate with various teams to automate database management tasks, ensuring reliability and security. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Platform Engineering experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure. This role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 along with a strong focus on team collaboration and diversity.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Platform Engineering experience (not software‑only).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Strong Python development skills (or similar).
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
- Proficiency with Cloud APIs and DevOps tooling.
- Clear communicator who collaborates well across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve our internal cloud‑based database platform.
