Job summary
A leading data solutions company in the UK seeks an experienced Data Platform Engineer to enhance their core data platform. You will own platform initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement best practices to improve scalability and efficiency. Ideal candidates have over 4 years in building data platforms, strong AWS knowledge, and proficiency in Python. Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of platform architecture and infrastructure design.
- Experience with cloud-native data stacks on AWS (e.g. S3, Glue, Redshift).
- Solid development experience with Python and knowledge of additional languages.
Responsibilities
- Evolve core data platform, deprecate legacy systems.
- Support implementation of a data platform strategy.
- Own end-to-end platform initiatives from scoping to rollout.
- Drive technical maturity with engineering best practices.
