Job summary
A fin-tech start-up in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled engineer to work on full-stack features, focusing on backend services using Python and developing user-facing applications with React and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with AWS cloud deployments, and a familiarity with modern development tools. Join us to solve open-ended challenges and contribute to our innovative suite of products.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience building backend services in Python; interest or experience with Go and/or Rust is a plus.
- Experience developing modern frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud deployments and basic infrastructure concepts.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices: Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Docker.
Responsibilities
- Working with product managers and engineers to design and deliver full-stack features end-to-end.
- Building and maintaining backend services and APIs in Python, with opportunities to work in Go or Rust.
- Developing user-facing applications using React and TypeScript.
- Deploying and operating cloud-native applications on AWS with a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Maintaining, monitoring, and improving production systems and development workflows.
