A leading transmission company is looking for a FACTS Lead to join their Offshore AC Project Engineering team in Inverness, Scotland. This role involves writing and reviewing project scopes for advanced grid technology, supporting project engineers, and driving best practices in FACTS. The ideal candidate should have a relevant engineering degree, excellent communication skills, and experience in transmission systems. For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
£58,100 - £87,100 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As part of SSEN Transmissions Offshore Portfolio of works, we have an opportunity for a FACTS Lead to join our Offshore AC Project Engineering team to help drive forward our Island projects and successfully deliver a network for Net Zero. Our Island projects facilitate the connection to our HVDC systems and include state‑of‑the‑art AC plant, grid control and stabilisation technology.
