Job description
ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join and lead our expanding Quality Control Department. This is a critical role at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every part we manufacture, assessable, or procure is built to win – and built to last.

As a Senior Quality Inspector, you will take ownership of the inspection process across key projects, components, and assemblies. Working with both in-house teams and external suppliers, you’ll ensure that quality is never compromised, from initial receipt through to final fitment on our competition cars.

The role and responsibilities include:

  • Carry out detailed inspection of precision components using a variety of tools (CMM, manual gauges, micrometres, calipers etc).
  • Inspect complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
  • Approve or reject components based on strict motorsport quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports and contribute to quality documentation and traceability.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support audits, supplier assessments, and first article inspections (FAI).
  • Providing feedback to internal Department Heads in respect of quality outcomes.
  • Mentoring Junior Inspectors, sharing knowledge to ensure best practice for future development.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

  • Deep understanding of high-performance manufacturing standards and tolerances.
  • Hands‑on experience with CMM (ideally both manual and programmable) and conventional inspection equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with strong MS Office skills.
  • Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving and implementing solutions with an analytical approach.
Preferred Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior or lead inspector role within motorsport, aerospace, or precision engineering.
  • Familiarity with carbon fibre, composite materials, and high-performance alloys.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and digital quality tools.
