A local government authority in Merthyr Tydfil is looking for a senior social worker to supervise and support a team ensuring compliance with statutory duties. The role includes handling complex cases and contributing to the team's professional development. Applicants must provide evidence of relevant qualifications; Welsh language skills are preferred. The Children Looked carry out statutory duties and the senior social worker's role is essential in supervising and supporting the social workers within the team to ensure that statutory duties are carried out and that children who are subject to CLA and Safeguarding procedures and their families have appropriate planning and support to promote their welfare.
