Not Just Girls is an organization dedicated to empowering young women to explore and succeed in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) careers. Founded by Becky Ridler, the organization aims to close the gender gap in these fields through mentorship, advocacy, skills development, and hands‑on support. This is a remote volunteer role for a Content and Communications Lead. The individual in this role will oversee the strategy, creation, and management of written content and communications for Not Just Girls. Daily responsibilities include crafting and editing content for various platforms (e.g., website, social media, and newsletters), developing and executing communication strategies, coordinating outreach activities, and collaborating with internal teams to align messaging. The Lead will also assist in promoting the organization’s mission by raising awareness and engaging stakeholders through impactful storytelling and promotional materials.

• Writing, editing, and proofreading skills to create compelling and accurate content
• Experience in content strategy and communications planning
• Digital marketing, including social media management and email campaigns
• Experience in storytelling and creative writing
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a remote team environment
• Familiarity with STEAM‑related topics and advocacy is a plus
