Job summary
A community support organization in Sheffield is seeking an enthusiastic trainee to work with homeless young people. In this role, you will provide 24-hour support as part of a team while developing essential skills for a future keyworker position. Responsibilities include managing a small caseload, supporting young people's progression, and delivering practical life-skills sessions. Strong communication and resilience are key qualities necessary for success in this role. Competitive salary with opportunities for advancement with accreditation.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic individual passionate about learning and supporting homeless young people.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a 24-hour support role.
- Skills in guiding young people through support processes and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour support on a rota basis for young people aged 16-21.
- Support a reduced caseload of 2 young people through training and development.
- Deliver life-skills sessions in areas such as budgeting, self-care, and accessing services.
