• Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum + bonus + exceptional benefits
• Hours: Full-Time

The Life Underwriter will assess and underwrite life and protection cases in line with the company’s underwriting philosophy. You’ll ensure fair and timely decisions, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver outstanding customer service.

• Underwrite life and protection cases in line with company philosophy
• Make fair, timely, and customer-focused decisions
• Analyse information and solve problems effectively
• Clearly explain underwriting decisions to stakeholders
• Identify and address barriers to great service, contributing to process improvementsCollaborate with colleagues across the business to enhance operations

• Minimum of 3 years’ UK life/protection underwriting experience (essential)
• Strong technical skills across protection products
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Clear communication skills for explaining decisions
• Experience dealing with stakeholders across the business (desirable but not essential)
• Customer-focused mindset and collaborative approach
